Countering The Cobain Case

A few months ago, I had a conversation with someone where I was reminded of a few people who wish for my blog and YouTube channel to become popular and they want me to promote my blog or get an exposure. They like some of the things I have written that disproves the conspiracy theory and wish more people know about it. I think only a few thousand people know about my blog and YouTube channel. As of April 2025, this blog has over 19,000 views. I estimate some viewers may have returned to read my posts more than once. Therefore I think there's only a few thousand people who have checked my blog. Even today the conspiracy theory is well known. I can understand why they would want me to promote my blog. Some sound like they want me to take a lead against the conspiracy theory. However, I think it is the Seattle Police who should take the lead to disprove or debunk the conspiracy theory. I recently found a comment where someone was wondering if the half-life of morphine continues after death and therefore Cobain's morphine amount in blood had reduced gradually in the 3 days after his death. The short answer is no. I was once under that impression too and mistakenly thought that the  elimination half-life  of morphine continues after the body dies. I even have a few old videos on my YouTube channel where I assumed that Cobain died on 8th April 1994 because of this. However, I did my research and learned that I was wrong. At the scene where Kurt Cobain's body was found there was noticeably a lack of blood. By lack of blood I don't mean complete absence of blood. I mean there was less blood found than what would be expected. Some of the murder theorists think that Cobain was killed at a different location and his dead body was placed in the greenhouse where it was staged as suicide. They usually support this idea because of the lack of blood in the scene, the disheveled clothes of Cobain which some think look to be from dragging the body and the way his hair was spread out.  In the Wikipedia article about Cobain's death under the conspiracy theories section of Richard Lee, the lack of blood in the scene is mentioned. It's been a while. I have written about this on this post a few years ago and decided to write about it here in detail.  At the scene where Cobain's body was found there was a box. The box contained black tar heroin, a spoon, two syringes and other drug paraphernalia. In 2014, the Seattle police developed photos from unused rolls of film. They found two fresh puncture marks on the insides of his elbows indicating that he took two shots of heroin before he died. Some conspiracy theorists have noticed the syringes look clean and unused. They suspect that Cobain was given heroin by the murderer who used another syringe. There's a common argument among the Nirvana fans that I come across. The argument is about how the supporters of the conspiracy theory are exploiting the death of Kurt Cobain to make money for themselves. Some fans deny that they are exploiting his death, claiming their main goal is to deliver justice. I decided to write my thoughts about this argument. In my personal opinion if you sincerely have a doubt about his death then you can take action to reopen the case. Having a desire to reopen the case is not exploitation because you are not making money from it. However, if you claim to have evidence that can prove the conspiracy theory and you will only share it if people buy your books or become a paid member of your website/channel then that is an act of exploitation. This is not helping the Cobain Case at all. If you genuinely want the case to reopen then you should present the police of the evidence you acquired. Recently, I came across a video on YouTube by Video Friendly Unit Shifter . The video talks about a man called Eldon Hoke a.k.a. El Duce. He was a musician for a band called The Mentors where he sang and played the drums. In the Cobain Case, he is well known for making the claim that Courtney Love had offered him $50,000 to kill Kurt Cobain. On 19th April 1997, Hoke's dead body was found on railroad tracks. Blood tests revealed he had taken a high amount of alcohol. Officially, his death is recorded to be from an accident. Prior to his death, he had an interview with Nick Broomfield who was filming his documentary Kurt and Courtney. In the interview, Hoke talked about the alleged offer made by Courtney. Cobain's dead body was found in the greenhouse of his Lake Washington house on 8th April 1994. It is estimated that he died on 5th April 1994. On 3rd April 1994, Courtney Love hired Tom Grant, a private investigator, to find who was using Cobain's missing credit card. Well, that was the initial reason she gave to hire Grant but then she tasked him to find Cobain who was said to have left rehab and was missing. Courtney allowed the bank to give transaction records of the missing credit card to Tom Grant. Grant observed that transactions were made between 5th April 1994 to 8th April 1994, the days Cobain was lying dead in his greenhouse. The question now is who was using the credit card? Grant assumes the card was stolen by the murderer after they killed Cobain and between 5th to 8th of April 1994 the murderer used the credit card. The idea that 1.52mg per liter of morphine in blood indicates that Cobain was given three times the lethal dose of heroin comes from the book Heroin Addiction by Jerome J. Platt. It is claimed that the author wrote in the book that the maximum lethal dose of heroin is 75mg for a 150 pound man which would result in 0.5mg per liter of morphine in blood. I was curious to know what all these people who quote this idea have learned from the book. These people include Tom Grant, Dr. Cyril Wecht, Max Wallace and Ian Halperin. I know a lot of people get surprised when I tell them that 1ml is equal to 1,000mg or 1g. Some people even think that I am crazy and that either I am mistaken or just making stuff up. I am not making it up. It is true that 1ml is equal to 1,000mg. Well, more or less. A 1ml syringe can hold up to 1,000mg or 1g of heroin dose. Depending on the density of the liquid, the purity of the black tar heroin and whether water was used to make the dose or not, a 1ml syringe can contain heroin within the range of 30mg to 990mg.  If you have observed your surroundings then you will find examples which proves that 1ml = 1,000mg or 1g. The Seattle Police would usually quote drug tolerance to explain the alleged high amount of morphine found in Cobain's body. So what is drug tolerance? What is drug tolerance? Drug tolerance is a pharmacological concept where repeated and frequent use of a specific drug creates a tolerance which prevents the drug to activate. When a person has a high drug tolerance regular doses of the drug will not work on them. They will need to increase the amount of the dose to receive the desired effects of the drug. Alternatively, abstaining and substituting the drug can decrease the drug tolerance and this is one way to consume the drug without having to increase the dose amount. Some people mistake drug tolerance to mean a person's limit to how much drug they can take without getting overdosed. That is not what drug tolerance means.
